How did you get here?
Before joining Indigo Swan, I worked at an international insurance and pension provider. I was there for almost five years, and enjoyed roles in HR, Marketing and Internal Comms. I learnt a lot about Marketing and the importance of relevant and engaging communications, and I was looking for somewhere that I could put these skills to use. When I saw the vacancy for Marketing Executive at Indigo Swan, I knew it was right for me. A small, ethical and forward-thinking company is exactly what I was looking for.
What are you most proud of?
I’m proud of finding a career path I want to follow. Some people are lucky and know from a young age what they want to be when they grow up, but that’s not me! Through trying new things, taking chances and welcoming opportunities, I’ve set myself on a path where I can be happy at home, and at work.
An interesting fact
In my early twenties, I worked as Cabin Crew based in Madrid. On one flight from Morocco, the local police came on board before take-off to remove two passengers who had been acting suspiciously in the airport. I had the responsibility of identifying owners for all the bags left on the aircraft and giving the captain my approval that everything was OK in the cabin. I found a steel briefcase with no owner, which was a bit strange, and the police took it away with them to investigate. Did I save the day? Maybe…
What do you do at Indigo Swan?
My job title is Marketing Executive, and it’s quite a varied role. I coordinate our direct mail campaigns, our social media presence and our events. I manage our CRM software and track our email campaigns. On the scale of creativity to analysis, I lean towards the latter and let our Head of Creativity, Mark, work his magic on our artwork and brand!
