I am a Case Manager in the Client Services team, handling a whole range of client queries both before and after the tendering process. I enjoy the variation the role provides, along with the challenges that it frequently presents.
What are you most proud of?
Stepping out of my comfort zone and going to teach English in Japan. I had never been out of Europe before, so to “up sticks” was a big thing for me. I was there for 15 months, and I left with a collection of experiences, memories and friends. Nothing can quite match the first time you watch Sumo Wrestling, or watch the sun come up over the mountains after an all-night karaoke session!
Tell us an interesting fact?
I have eaten jellyfish! I had not been in Japan long and went for a meal. I actually meant to order chicken, but due to my fledgling language skills, I accidentally ordered jellyfish instead. It was served in a cocktail glass and with sesame seeds. It was pleasant enough, though a little on the slimy side.
How did you get here?
I came to Indigo Swan via a convoluted route; Conference Organiser, EFL teacher in Japan, Editorial Researcher, Customer Services and Account Management. It was in my last role that I become aware of Indigo Swan, as I looked after the account. I also already knew a Swan and she could do nothing but sing the praises of the company. When she posted on social media about this position, I jumped at the chance. I’m pleased to have joined the nest!
