Great British Businesswoman Awards 2025 🌟

We are so proud to announce that our HR & Finance Director, Hayley Leech won the ‘Rising Star’ award in last weeks’ Great British Businesswoman Awards 2025 💜

The black tie event took place at Leonardo St Pauls in London, and Hayley was joined by fellow Directors, Aimee Konieczny, and James Groves who were both shortlisted for awards themselves, and Andy Kindleysides.

The Great British Businesswoman Awards celebrates women who are changing the face of business in the United Kingdom. The awards showcase business role models, advocates, mentors, and inspirational women building and leading businesses across many sectors of the economy.

The Rising Star award celebrates a woman who has made her mark and is making waves, which is definitely true of Hayley, and shows how we are changing energy as a company.

Hayley joined the nest seven years ago as a Finance Manager to support the team and has grown as a person, a leader and is now a Director and Co-Owner of Indigo Swan.

This is except is taken from our entry submission and shows why we all think she is amazing and why she won this award:

‘Hayley is not your typical finance person. Hayley brings a level of clarity, efficiency but also warmth to a role that can sometimes come across as stuffy and regimental. As a woman in finance and a women in finance in industry Hayley bucks the trend, by bringing a very human element to our company finances and how we do things.

Hayley also acts as our HR Director and the combination of this and finance gives her the opportunity to be hands on with the team in every aspect of Swan life. From company finances through to working with our neurodiverse team members, Hayley is able to support everyone within the nest to allow them to be the very best versions of themselves. Hayleys caring nature is what sets her apart.’

Hayley commented:
“Wow, what a night! I was proud to be recognised as a finalist, celebrating my achievements, let alone go on and win!

I’m extremely grateful to be surrounded by so much support, to make being a Rising Star something that has been natural to do, without necessarily realising it. Thank you to everyone who has made this possible.

Proud to be a Great British Businesswoman award winner is an understatement.”

Congratulations to all of the other finalists, just to be nominated is a huge achievement.
