TELCA Awards 2017

TELCA Awards 2017

On the 28th of July 2017, a handful of the Swans ventured down to the TELCA Awards. It celebrates the very best third party intermediaries within the UK energy industry – it’s basically the Oscars for energy consultants.

A mix of 600 energy consultants, brokers, suppliers and industry experts attended the awards this year, hosted at the Honourable Artillery grounds in London.

Awards

The TELCA awards cover many disciplines in the industry, from trust and customer service to leadership and levels of advice.  The awards are judged by an independent panel of industry experts, including the former CEO of Energy UK, CEO of the Energy Institute, former Head of Energy for Sainsburys & Senior Energy Manager for Starbucks.

This year we were lucky enough to be up for three industry awards…

– Most Trusted Consultancy in the UK
– Consultancy of the Year (East of England)
– Inspirational Leader for James Groves

In 2016 we were over the moon to walk away with…

– Consultancy of the Year (UK)
– Unsung Hero for Andy Kindleysides

We were also shortlisted for Most Trusted Consultancy last year but missed out, so we were very proud to reclaim the title this year after previously winning it in 2015.

Being the Most Trusted

This is a hugely important award for us.  Energy consultants are unregulated, and a lot of unscrupulous behaviour happens. This can be great for short-term cashflow, but we place integrity above profit and prefer to build a more sustainable long-term business relationship with our clients – this is where the trust comes from.

The judges of this award said, “When a customer says we cannot applaud Indigo Swan enough and trust them implicitly, there’s not much left to say.”

Upon winning Most Trusted Consultancy a couple of the Swans were asked to give a few words.

James Groves, Head of Client Experience at Indigo Swan said “Clients in the market place are looking for that trusted consultancy, they are looking for people to be transparent, ethical and just open and honest with them. It’s not just sign them up for a year and see you later.”

Emily Groves, Founder & Managing Director of Indigo Swan also added “We work to be a shining example, on a national stage, of what you can achieve as a small team of 17 people within our industry and that you can operate by putting people first, having integrity at the heart of what you do whilst also being a successful and profitable company.”
