We are proud to support local businesses

At Indigo Swan we are proud to support local businesses. We always choose to use local suppliers and distributors not only to help boost the local economy but because we love the unique products and services they have to offer.

We order our caffeine fix beans from the amazing team at Green Farm Coffee Company. Based in Norwich they are a coffee roaster and distributor who we can’t recommend them highly enough! The team is always on hand and their yummy coffee helps our swans when they need a little afternoon lift. Full of flavour and with a heavenly aroma – it took us a while to find the perfect tasting cup of loveliness, but it was worth the wait. Check them out!

As part of our well-being initiatives we always like to make sure there is plenty of fruit at the nest for the swans to snack on. Norfolk Veg Box, who deliver all our weekly fresh produce straight to the door, are a local family run business. Their aim is to support the farmers and growers of Norfolk by bringing together a range of products from a variety of producers. The box contents vary depending on what’s in season – but it’s always healthy and heavenly to eat!

Big shout out to Breakwater IT who look after all our computers and IT support. We aren’t the ‘techiest’ of swans, but they are always very patient with us and do an amazing job! We recently spoke to John Gostling, their Managing Director, who shared with us his top cyber security tips so make sure you give it a read. We also use the local accountancy firm M&A Partners and our solicitors are Spire Solicitors.

Earlier this year we partnered with Norwich Business Improvement District (BID) to help levy payers save time and money organising their energy. We understand the important role energy plays in businesses and how time consuming it can be checking and negotiating contracts. So, by partnering with BID we want to make it easier for our local businesses to make better decisions about their energy.

We also work closely with the Norfolk Chamber of Commerce on numerous projects. One of those is our Chamber Energy Scheme where we offer chamber members £500 of free products to help with their energy management. This is just one of the other ways we like to give back to the local community. We also teamed up with them for our corporate golf day which was a great success!

Some of you may have been to our offices recently and so will already be aware that last year we gave the nest a bit a freshen up. We expanded our office space by 50%, gave it a lovely lick of purple paint and put our interior design skills to use – all of which wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Blue Space. With offices dotted all around Norfolk and Suffolk, Blue Space has cultivated an outstanding reputation for design led office fit outs and furnishing of commercial interiors.

As swans we love to get out and about in the fresh air. Not only do we like getting out for a run as part of our running club ‘Ron’s Runners’ we are also partial to a spot of ‘Netwalking’. Some time ago we joined hands with Fountain Partnership to coordinate a set of ‘Netwalk’s’ for the local business community. The idea is to get people together for a stroll in different locations across Norfolk followed by tea, cake and light networking. Recently when we were in need of some help with our digital marketing, we also called upon the incredibly talented team at Fountain to help us.

We also purchase all our office supplies from Ian Smith Group. Although a national company their Norwich office provides lots of jobs to the local community. They have over 20,000 products to choose from, so hopefully they will have everything you need, plus you get a dedicated account manager to help with all your queries. Ordering stationery has never been so easy!

By supporting local businesses, it helps to boost employment rates in the area as it increases the need for more workers. When there is an increase in demand there is an increase in supply. Often it will also lead to a more personalised service as it’s easier to meet in person or they can tailor things to your needs more, as distance isn’t a stumbling block.

As you can see we are big on supporting other local businesses and always looking for new opportunities so please feel free to get in touch on hello@indigoswan.co.uk with any ideas.
