Meet the Swan: Leanne

|||

Leanne is  our longest serving Swan and works as part of our Client Services Team. She has seen Indigo Swan grow over the years and been a part of our incredible journey from the beginning. Nicknamed ‘Leannski’ or ‘Skecher Girl’, she loves coming into the nest (pre COVID-19) to see all the Swans and cherishes the fact that we are such a close team. In her words: “I see them not just as colleagues but friends”. Leanne is always up for a good night out with the Swans and loves doing all sorts of different social events. Whether it is a game of night golf, after work drinks or listening to some live music you can be pretty sure Leanne will be there.

Talking of live music, Leanne loves Backstreet Boys and has been lucky enough to see them 9 times in total. In 2014 she finally got to meet them, which was a dream come true for her. Although Backstreet Boys are up there, nothing could come close to Leanne’s love for Disney. She has been to Florida 7 times (so far) and fingers crossed is planning another trip back there next year – all being well. Leanne’s desk at the nest is filled with Disney related items mainly featuring the loveable blue character, Stitch, who is her favourite. From pens and notebooks to soft toys and mugs – she has it all!

Outside of work Leanne enjoys spending time with her family and friends. One of her favourite things to do is to visit the arcades at Great Yarmouth and spend the afternoon on the 2p machines. Rain or shine it is a fab day out! Excitingly, Leanne recently welcomed a new addition to her family, a Cocker Spaniel puppy called Jackson, who is full of beans and keeps her on her toes. At the weekends she loves taking him out into the countryside for lovely long walks. Jackson is one of the many puppies which have recently joined the Indigo Swan team. Jefferson, a wired haired Vizsla, belongs to Aimee. Penny a chocolate Schnoodle is Jaime’s new addition and James welcomed Betsy a Miniature Labradoodle to his home only last week. Keep an eye on our Instagram profile for puppy updates.

Ron’s Readers, our Swan book club, was started by Leanne. During lockdown she has managed to finish our first book – Blood Orange by Harriet Tyce. We would highly recommend it if you are looking for a good thriller to get your teeth into. Of course, lockdown would not be lockdown without a good Netflix series and Leanne has just completed the Tiger King series, which seems to be THE series to watch at the moment.

Now those of you who know Leanne will know her favourite film is Jaws, so it is easy to spot her piece of art on the ‘Swan Art Wall’. When I asked Leanne what the number one thing on her bucket list was, it didn’t come as any surprise when she said: “to go in a shark cage and come face to face with a Great White”. This sounds like my worst nightmare, so I will leave that one with you Leanne!
