Today we are getting to know one of our fabulous Energy Contract Enthusiasts, Louise Arnold, a little better. Louise has worked at Indigo Swan for just over 4 years and part of her role is to make sure our clients understand their energy costs and to give them the right tools to make the best decisions for their businesses.
In our last ‘Meet the Swan’ blog AK shared his desire to travel across America. It’s also something that Lou would like to do. The number one item on her bucket list is to road trip around America sampling all the tasty food and seeing sites off the beaten track, which sounds absolutely amazing. Can we come along as well?!
In her spare time Louise loves to ride horses and will often pop in to see them before starting work. In her words: “It genuinely is my relaxation time. I can switch off from everything in the world and be in that moment.” It’s easy to spot her piece of art on the wall in the nest as it combines two of her favourite things, horses and watercolour. It’s a beautiful picture which perfectly reflects her personality.
When I asked her what she loved most about working at Indigo Swan, she responded: “The variety in my working day. I love the different clients I speak to on a daily basis”. One thing is for sure, there is never a dull day! Louise, like many of us, has been working remotely from her virtual nest during lockdown. We’ve been working hard to help motivate each other and have been doing lots of different things to preserve our culture during COVID-19 pandemic. During lockdown Lou has been enjoying some reading and has recently got into historical fiction books. She’s just about to start The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix Harrow.
Louise got married last year in Norwich Cathedral, which was truly magnificent. Some of the Swans attended the big day and celebrated with her and her husband – which was so much fun! Us Swans do love a party and we danced well into the night that day. For their honeymoon the newlyweds ventured off to Tanzania and Zanzibar and judging by the photographs they had an amazing time. It’s somewhere Louise would like to visit again as she found it so magical.
I always like to use this opportunity to find out something new about each of the Swans. I didn’t know Louise was born in Gloucester and isn’t Norfolk born and bred. She said the South West always feels like home to her when she visits family there. I’ve been working with Lou for nearly 2 years now and I didn’t know this about her – you learn something new every day!
