3rd ‘Best Company to Work For’ in the UK!

If you’ve been anywhere near our social media recently you may well have seen that a few of the swans travelled down to London last week to attend the UK Employee Experience Awards (UKEXA).

The awards recognise and celebrate the excellent employee reward, retention, and support measures businesses undertake to develop a productive and happy workforce and strengthen the company from within. Recently the awards have been accredited with the Gold standard in the Awards Trust Mark scheme from The Independent Awards Standards Council. This means they meet the highest standard in the areas of scoring, feedback, transparency and judging.

We were finalists in two categories, which we are extremely proud about – ‘Best Company to Work For’ and ‘Employee Centric Company’ and were joined by over 300 other finalists in the stunning Park Plaza Riverbank. The day consisted of live entry presentations made to independent judging panels, followed by a yummy gala lunch and the exciting awards ceremony afterwards.

Presenting at the awards

Emily and James entrusted Aimee, Alex and Hayley to present to the judges on the day as who better to speak at the ‘Employee’ Experience Awards than the swans themselves. The swans (and Ron) were up and out nice and early, armed with a fantastic presentation to show the judges which we felt was a true representation of what life at Indigo Swan is really like and what it’s like to be a swan.

Three slightly nervous but also very excited swans did a superb job on the day of presenting to the judges, answering their questions and just generally spreading the swan way with a smile. They stepped outside their comfort zones and everyone at the nest is so proud of what they achieved!

Holding a trophy

We are thrilled to share with you all that we received bronze in the ‘Best Company to Work For’ category which we are over the moon about. Third best place to work in the UK certainly has a ring to it and we were delighted to bring back a trophy to share with the rest of the swans. Hearing our name being read out is a feeling we will never forget! It was a very special day for us and we’re looking forward to celebrating our win all together.

Congratulations to all the finalists and winners! It really was an amazing day and we feel honoured to have shared it with so many incredible people.
