How to plant and grow your Forget-Me-Nots

We hope you like your gift and enjoy watching your flowers grow. We have put together some of our top tips on how to plant your seeds and grow your flowers.

Forget-me-nots symbolise love and respect. They also bring encouragement and hope, and represents a promise of remembrance. They are a delicate, blue flower that grows easily.

When to plant your seed swan:

Spring and Autumn is usually an optimal time to plant your seed swan, although they don’t need planting or complex propagation – just place it where you want them to grow (preferably on top of soil or compost), and let nature take over! They will also grow equally well in pots or other planters.

 

How to grow your forget-me-nots:

  1. Fill shallow pots with a peat-free growing medium, or sow the seed swan directly into the ground
  2. Lightly water the soil so that it is damp
  3. Once germinated, thin the seedlings to 20-30cm to grow and bloom the following spring
  4. Forget-me-nots will naturally self-seed after flowering and grow flowers in the future
