It’s our favourite time of the year again, award season! The Energy Live Consultancy Awards (TELCA) shortlist has been announced and we are excited to share that for a second year in a row, we have been shortlisted for eleven awards, including a new category, ‘Best Company to Work For’.
The Energy Live Consultancy Awards (TELCA) is an annual awards ceremony, hosted by Energy Live News, that celebrates the best consultants, brokers and TPIs in the UK. They are without doubt one of the most prestigious awards in the energy industry and evolved through a need to recognise and celebrate creativity, innovation and those pushing the boundaries of excellence.
The swans love attending the TELCAs and it’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate all our hard work throughout the year, as well as the achievements of others from our industry.
The categories we are finalists in are as follows:
James Groves, Managing Director commented:
“Every year it gets harder and harder to be recognised within our sector. We must be innovating, pivoting and as I have said a few times recently we have to be looking at how we redefine what an energy consultancy is. I am so enormously proud of every Swan, no more so than this year. The challenges we have had within the sector, the demand on consultants being higher than ever and the effort they all put in to showing value to our client base every day is something I am extremely grateful for and in awe of. In the energy sector there is no off button. It is go, go, go all the time, and the team we have is providing in my opinion world class service each and every day. The quality of competition is always high, and we congratulate the other businesses that have made the shortlist. Competition makes us better. For the past 10 years, we have not once rested on our laurels and this year more than any I knew it would be harder to get the recognition this team so richly deserves but we did it. Finalists in 12 categories for everything from being an amazing place to work, to trust, service and of course the world of sustainability. Super proud of Aimee and Oliver as well and to have two Swans represented in areas they excel at and set an example to the other swans in, is a fantastic achievement. Bring on the 6th December!”
Our Head of Sustainability, Oliver Denison has been shortlisted for the ‘Net Zero Hero’ award for a second year in a row. He is very passionate about renewable technology and helping our customers on their journey to Net Zero.
Our Commercial Director, Aimee Konieczny has also been shortlisted for the ‘Industry Expert’ award which is a fantastic achievement. She has led our Swan Sustainability initiative, alongside Oliver, and has also been the face of Indigo Swan, attending and speaking at many external events over the past 12 months.
Despite COVID and the recent energy crisis, we have continued to receive national and regional recognition for how we act, not only as an energy consultancy but also as a business, so being shortlisted for so many of these awards for a second year in a row is something that all the swans are proud of. The black-tie awards ceremony is being held on Wednesday 6th December at Stoller Hall in Manchester. Fingers and feathers crossed!
