Wednesday the 26th of June was a very special day at the nest. It was the day that we were crowned ‘Most Trusted UK Energy Consultancy (SME)’ at The Energy live Consultancy Awards (TELCA) for a third time! A feeling we will all cherish and a day we will hold close to our hearts forever!
Emily Groves, Founder and Executive Chair said: “From the very beginning we’ve known that being honest, working hard and approaching every day with enthusiasm would nurture relationships built on a strong foundation of integrity and trust. We know that to provide a world class service we must be trusted by every organisation and person we engage with, whether they are a client, an employee, an energy supplier or the wider business community.”
“Trust doesn’t happen overnight you have to love and breathe a strong set of values and be consistent. I’m tremendously proud that we have won this award 3 times as it shows that trust is at our core and continues to resonate as we grow and engage with a greater number of organisations.” Emily added.
Seen as the ‘Oscars’ of the energy industry, the TELCAs are always guaranteed to be fantastic evening! It’s a time when we can get together, enjoy a glass of bubbles (or two) and celebrate everyone’s hard work with others from our industry.
Several of the swans finished up at the nest a little early and made their way to London for the annual event – all looking rather dazzling and dapper! The glamorous black-tie ceremony was held at the at the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) and was followed by an after party on London’s luxurious yacht, the Silver Sturgeon.
In its seventh edition, it’s safe to say each year the competition for top spot intensifies. It was an incredible feeling to be sat in a room full of consultants all doing a fantastic job within the energy sector, supporting one another and sharing experiences. For us, it’s important that we keep improving and pushing ourselves to find a better way of doing things. Entering awards like the TELCAs help recognise our dedication, progress and all the hard work each of the swans put in.
Geoff Curran, Director of Energy Live News said: “The judging process for TELCA is incredibly stringent with the entries being scrutinised initially by an end user panel and then by a very experienced set of energy leaders. Being shortlisted is a fine achievement, to win means that company stands out in the industry.”
James Groves, Managing Director said: “Trust in your vision, trust in your values, trust in your team and your clients will trust in you. At Indigo Swan we are so proud to have been awarded the Most Trusted Consultancy (SME). I once read that Trust is built with consistency and to have been awarded as the most trusted within our sector 3 times over the last 5 years is the type of consistency that makes me so proud of all the Swans and allows our clients to know they are in safe hands year after year.”
We were joined by more than 360 people at the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) on Wednesday 26th June for a glamorous black-tie awards ceremony, which some said was the best to date.
We take great pride in being the ‘Most Trusted (SME)’ energy consultancy in the UK. Trust as a verb means “to believe”. To believe in something or someone is to have confidence. We take many steps in order to make sure our customers have confidence in the work we do, one of which is to make sure we are completely transparent in how we charge them. We’re also always open and upfront about the service we offer and on the odd occasion if something goes wrong, we never hide anything from our clients. We believe it’s better to be honest, explain the situation and rectify rather than sweeping it under the carpet.
Lee Ratcliffe, one of the swans who attended, said: “It was an absolute to honour to be asked to represent Indigo Swan at the TELCAs and the evening didn’t disappoint! It was great to spend time with my team outside of work, meet new people and bring home with us the award for ‘Most Trusted Consultancy Award (SME)’ as well!”
Transparency makes up a large part of trust and we understand its importance when nurturing relationships. Another way we demonstrate it to our customers is by being 100% independent from energy suppliers and we promote this to clients at every opportunity. We place integrity over profit and do not subscribe to any supplier-imposed sales targets or bonus schemes in any way. This always helps us to give our best advice without pressure, prejudice or expectation. We would never encourage our clients into making decisions that are anything less than what’s best for them.
Hannah Cooper also attended the awards, she added: “It was a great year this year and we all loved the awards and after party aboard the Silver sturgeon! Trust is so important to us all at Indigo Swan and as a Client Guide, I really value the trusting relationships I have with my clients that we’ve built over the years. To be recognised on a national scale for the third time as Most Trusted SME is just wonderful. It means the most to the swans out of all of the awards as trust is such a key factor in everything we do.”
“I feel extremely proud that we won the award for Most Trusted Consultancy. Being trusted is so important to us and it is fantastic to be recognised with this official title again. We had an amazing night celebrating as a team and with energy suppliers who we have created great relationships with. Shout out to Paul at Ecotricity for inviting me to join their table.”added Hayley Leech, our Head of Finance.
We were shortlisted in five categories this year including Best Customer Service (SME) and Consultancy of the Year. Two of our amazing swans were also up for individual awards, Aimee Konieczny for Industry Expert and Simon Rolfe for the Secret Star category.
To be nominated for an award is a real credit and we just want to congratulate all the finalists! Well done everyone, we had a superb evening and feel incredibly proud to have been able to be a part of it!
