The Norwich Theatre Royal is a lovely, 1,300 seat, art-deco theatre situated in the heart of Norwich.
How did you manage your energy supplies before using Indigo Swan?
We worked with a large purchasing organisation to procure energy for a number of years.
What problems or frustrations did you have with this approach?
We were unclear how the purchasing group could support the installation of new connections for our Stage Two building. We previously only had contact at contract renewal and we were keen to work with a consultant who could easily guide us through the process.
What was important to you when making the decision to use Indigo Swan?
Indigo Swan is a local company; we can see their offices from our front door! We recognise our important place within the community and look to work with local organisations wherever possible. It was important for us to have a consultant who could easily visit the site during the construction stage and liaise with our local building contractor.
What is the biggest energy headache we have relieved for you?
Obtaining new gas and electricity connections is not our everyday business, so we were facing an uphill challenge. Our building contractor and Indigo Swan worked closely together to ensure the connections and meters were installed according to our timetable. Indigo Swan also obtained competitive supply quotes for the new services, which enabled us to be confident in budgeting for the first year of operation.
If you were to quantify the benefit of using Indigo Swan what would you say?
Indigo Swan enabled us to get the works completed in a timely way. They removed the hassle of dealing with meter providers and suppliers, and enabled us to focus on running the main theatre site.

At all stages in the process Indigo Swan were professional and well-organised. Nothing was too much trouble and they visited site whenever requested, even at short notice.
