I am Indigo Swan’s new Business Development Manager, I will take the lead on continuing growth within the business. I represent Indigo Swan to prospective customers, spreading awareness and demonstrating how Indigo Swan are different from other TPIs. My primary responsibility is making connections and building relationships with businesses. To find out what their issues and needs are, then demonstrating how we can work with them to help and support them in this complex industry. We want to become partners with our customers, an extension of their team, who are experts in our field. I am passionate about delivering great service and will always have the customer’s best interest at heart.
In the last two years I have totally changed my life; my relationship, my address and my job, and I have never been happier. People are so scared of change, and I was for a long time! But I want to tell people that they should embrace it and be brave! I am so proud of myself for being brave, and striving for more in every aspect of my life. I have quite literally spread my wings!
I am a part-time womble! For those of you that weren’t born in the 80’s, I am almost obsessive about litter picking. I used to collect foil milk bottle lids when I was a child, and then it escalated during lockdown when I was exploring the Devonshire countryside. I try to pick up at least three pieces of litter every day, I even do it on holiday! I also have my own litter grabbers!
I studied Business at Cardiff university and graduated with a 2:1, I then joined a graduate training scheme for two years, before moving into the energy industry with a role at an energy supplier. I primary worked in sales, but spent a lot of time working with TPIs, including Indigo Swan. After 16 ½ years I was ready for a change and a new challenge. Following the COVID pandemic, remote working opened a whole new world of opportunities. I saw the chance to work for Indigo Swan and had to explore it further. I had been aware of Indigo Swan for many years and they always stood out to me due to their dynamic leadership, culture and energy. BDM is a totally new role for me, but it plays to a lot of my strengths. Building strong, mutually beneficial relationships is a huge part of what I have enjoyed in my career thus far.
I love to travel, I have been very fortunate to visit some amazing places and it is huge a passion of mine. That excitement and anticipation as you are on the plane looking out the window is magical. Some of my most memorable experiences have been; watching the sunrise at the Taj Mahal in India, sky diving in New Zealand, snorkelling in The Great Barrier Reef, walking up mount Vesuvius and exploring the ruins of Pompeii and swimming in the Blue Lagoon in Iceland. Next year to celebrate my 40th birthday, my partner and I are going to South Africa which I am very excited about.
